How to design trustworthy robot butlers that we won’t want to treat like humans

Today I had this article published in The Conversation. It was interesting to work with the media, particularly the way in which they edit content for a more general audience. There were not too many changes and I think it’s more-or-less preserved my voice, but I’m not sure where the idea about robot butlers came from! Still, the research hopefully speaks for itself and it’s nice to get it out there for a wider audience.
